Don't Touch Me

Don't try to touch me,
Your fingers scorch my skin,
The barrier that keeps you out,
Is simply and entirely too thin.
But it just has to hold it's own,
In a fight I won't let you win,
Because I'll fight every step,
I've no reason to let you in.

No one will ever touch me,
Or see within to my soul,
It's for the best though,
Not to see what people stole.
No one really wants to taste the pain,
So I willingly pay a demon's toll,
To push everyone out of my life,
So they can squash my goal.

Don't even think to touch me,
You'll only make me cry,
Because you just want to break me,
Destroy me, or have your entitled try.
You'll fine amusement in my pain,
You'll turn me into a pathetic lie,
So keep your hand to yourself,
Even if you don't understand why.
