The
Artist
The artist
She sat, hiding from everyone else in the world
Because if she stepped into his world
She wouldn’t fit right
The
artist
She tried jumping in just knee deep but she fell
And got pulled under and scared
So she went back to safety
The
artist
She watched from her castle window now by herself
Behind the walls she’s carefully built to hide
So nothing can hurt her again
The
artist
She was ever so afraid if she comes out she’d drown
And was not to keen on the water around him
But she stepped in timidly
The
artist
She fell once more only harder and got stuck
Her castle got lost and she began to cry
Her safety was now gone
The
artist
She took up a pen and began to write
And a pencil to draw
And a brush to paint
The
artist
She wrote of a castle in the clouds
She drew a castle in the clouds
She painted a castle, her castle
The
artist
She glanced back at him and his world and sighed
A final tear rolled down her cheek
And she went back to her castle
The
artist
She ever so often sits upon her throne, in her castle
Remembering him and his world
And falling, and drowning
